Kendriya Vidyalaya Vikaspuri organized a one day
workshop for PGT Chemistry for improvement of result (enhancing the pass % and
P.I.). The workshop was inaugurated by the honourable Chairman, VMC, Dr. V.N.
Ojha, Chief Scientist NPL where the choir of the Ist & IInd
Shift presented a welcome song after the lighting of the lamp by the
distinguished dignitaries. The Principal, Mrs. Meena Kulshreshtha welcomed the
participants and stated the objectives of the workshop. The chief guest warmly
welcomed the participants and motivated them to enhance their teaching
methodology and hone their skills and develop scientific attitude in his
address. After the vote of thanks by the Vice Principal (I Shift) Mrs. B.
Gayathri the gathering broke for tea. Post-tea, Mrs. Beena Jain PGT Chemistry
(I Shift) took up a half an hour session on virtual labs which could bring
about a massive change in the way of teaching Chemistry. After this, an interesting
session on Quantum Mechanics by Dr. Ajeet Kumar, Scientist at NPL took place.
He threw light on the theories related to atoms and Schorodinger equation. Then
Mrs. B. Gayathri spoke on the techniques of SWOT Analysis by students and
concept mapping for result improvement. She also divided the participants into
groups. After the Lunch Break, when the session resumed, participants were to
work in groups to prepare questions of HOTS, MLL and subjective-type as well as
e-content. They were also top prepare a list of innovative projects. Post-tea
break, an open session was held where the participants were invited to express
their experiences of the workshop and as PGT Chemistry.
Following this, Mrs. Chandrakiran (PGT CS) explained
to the participants about the digital distribution of the data compiled during
the workshop which can be downloaded from the Vidyalaya website for any topic
of class XI &XII. The workshop ended at a happy note with participants
fully-geared up for the session 2015-2016 and motivated to perform well.
